BUSINESS LEASING AGREEMENTS Business leasing agreements in Greece are regulated by law 4242/2014 as well as civil law. Previously in Greece the duration of the business agreement had to be 12 years and even in the event that parties agreed in writing for a smaller duration the tenant was protected for the 12 year period.   Based on the new regulations the parties to the agreement (land lord and tenant) are free to decide on the duration of the lease agreement with a minimum duration of 3 years. INHERITANCE IN GREECE

Greek Inheritance Law provides the bequest of the deceased's property to his legal heirs in two ways: by virtue of a will or in intestacy. In case that the deceased has left a Greek will, the bequest of the inherited property, i.e. the transfer of the property under the names of his heirs, appointed by the deceased, and to what property parts they are entitled to, is arranged according to the provisions of the Greek will. GOLDEN VISA-GREECE The Immigration and Social Integration Code (Law 4251/2014, Government Gazette  1, no 80) contains provisions that facilitate the stay of third-country investors, whose investments are characterized as strategic investments, via the provision of extended stay time limits for the representatives of investment bodies and their partners. Moreover, it allows the granting of residence permits to third country nationals and to members of their families, who purchase real estate property in Greece, the value of which exceeds € 250,000. This residence permit is permanent. The holder of the residence permit is however required to renew it every five (5) years.
